The Anti-Rollback Device consists of left and right mounting brackets and actuator arms, which depresses under the weight of the patient sitting in the wheelchair. While engaged, the arms prevent the wheels from rotating backwards while allowing it to continue to move forward. The unit features temporary override handles to assist caregivers in moving the unoccupied chair backward.
