The Type B Adapter converts your existing receptacle into the same receptacle and a 1/4" phone recptacle. All Type B Adapters (except 9477) include a 9" extension cord and plug. The Type Y Adapter converts your existing receptacle into two 1/4" phone receptacles. The Type Y2 Adapter converts your existing receptacle into one female receptacle of the same style and one 1/4" phone receptacle.
